Welcome to the Flexform Singapore Flagship. Opening its doors on 1 August 2017, the furniture brand’s new showroom here represents its designs as they should be, in a customised environment that personifies the renowned label’s ethos of discreet and enduring contemporary elegance. Launched by KL-based firm Studio216, the 3,000 sq ft street level space is fronted by a 13-metre wide and six-metre high glass frontage along a busy thoroughfare in the upscale Newton area. Spread across two levels, the design of the showroom takes its cue from the brand’s pavilion at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan. Designed by Antonio Citterio, it was the architect’s contemporary take on La Dolce Vita (the good life). Citterio is a longtime Flexform collaborator who also art-directed Flexform’s 2017 collection.
